The staff really made the hotel in our opinion. They upgraded us free of charge for no reason which was a lovely surprise. They were so helpful in allowing us to drop off our luggage before check in opened, and letting us keep our bags at the hotel on the day we left after we’d checked out before we started our journey home. They also have 24 hour reception which is really reassuring and comforting. The location of the hotel is superb, the Notre Dame is in walking distance and there are metro stops a five minute walk away so you can easily get around. The area feels safe and it is very central, and there is a lot to do/places to eat around the hotel so if you didn’t fancy venturing too far you don’t have to.

In a city that offers thousands of competing accommodation options, it was a brilliant decision to stay here. The location is ideal for arrival by air or train (just a couple minutes walk from Luxembourg station, so very easy connections). Luxembourg Gardens is along the next road along with a good selection of cafes and restaurants on all sides. It's opposite the Sorbonne on a peaceful road -- no loud traffic or crowds. It's a compact hotel and room, just like all other Parisian accommodation, but it's light and appealing. The room and ensuite had very good quality facilities. All spotlessly clean, as you'd expect. We will definitely consider staying here again next time.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I loved my room on the 6th floor. They offered me an upgrade for a small price which I very much appreciated. The room was warm, clean and sunny. The antique bathtub was such a nice treat. The area was quiet but not far from restaurants bars and attractions. I would stay here again and recommend this boutique hotel. Of course you'll read in the reviews that the rooms were small - it's Paris, that's all you get here unless you want to spend a LOT of money. I've stayed in many hotels in Paris and the size to cost ratio here is normal for this city.

The hotel lives up to its name - Design. The room was on the first floor overlooking the inner courtyard, so no great views, but very quiet, which is important if you're in the centre of Paris. The room was very comfortable and clean. I like the fact that they respect when you ask them not to do up the room, and they don't drop lots of towels at the door. It shows that they really care for the environment and not wash thing unnecessarily. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel felt very safe.

Compact and beautiful room with all that you need in there. The toilet was small but functional with a shower that had a good water pressure (not the case always in France). The staff was really nice and helpful, always on a good mood. The location is great, right next to the Luxembourg garden, with a walking distance from the Latin quarter ant the city-center. RER B going up to CDG Airport and the Exhibition center in Villepinte leaves right next to this hotel. I really enjoyed my stay.
